Department/Unit/Program Description

RMH is a medium sized hospital that provides 24 hour care to Emergency Room patients. The Emergency department embraces the Hospital’s vision by providing staff with an excellent, supportive, team environment where the clinical team can practice in a multi-disciplinary team, providing Exceptional Care – Together.

Position Summary

The Emergency Department is currently seeking a Permanent Part Time Registered Nurse to join their team.

Effective Date: April 20, 2026

Essential Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing
• Current BCLS and ACLS certification, on hire
• Current I.V. certification
• Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale Education
• Coronary Care course or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years recent Emergency Room experience
• Demonstrated ability to deal effectively and co-operatively with all levels of staff, patients and the public
• Demonstrated problem solving, communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
• Must be able to fulfill physical requirements of the job, as per current Physical Demands Analysis

Preferred Qualifications

• TNCC and PALS certification
• Health teaching skills that demonstrates a broad knowledge of Adult and Pediatric Emergency Care
• BScN preferred
• Epic trained or ability to train and pass testing

Hours of Work

Must be able to work eight and twelve-hour day and night shifts Monday to Sunday, including statutory holidays. Shift hours may change according to departmental requirements and as per the ONA Collective Agreement.
